Open the Studio, pick WEBCAM, and grant camera access when your browser asks. That permission goes to your browser, not to us; we never see a pixel.
Every control works while the camera runs: swap glyph systems, adjust brightness and contrast, toggle full color, change resolution. On mobile, flip between the front and rear camera with one tap.
When the feed shows something worth keeping, freeze it and export as .png or .txt, or copy the characters straight to your clipboard. Exporting takes a free account; watching yourself dissolve into glyphs does not.
Most "online camera filters" pipe your video through someone's server. This one cannot. The stream is read by your browser via the standard media APIs, drawn to a local canvas, and converted to characters on your own CPU. There is no upload path in the code. Close the tab and the stream is gone.
No. Conversion happens on your device and no frame ever touches a server. There is nothing to delete because nothing was sent.
Yes. Live conversion, full color, all glyph systems and camera flip are free. Exporting a frame needs a free account; Pro unlocks higher resolution and animation features.
Yes. One tap on mobile; on desktop, pick any connected camera.
Lower the column count or use a simpler glyph set. For a still shot with maximum detail instead, use the image to ASCII converter.
